Water Filters

What are water filtering systems?

By water filtration system, we mean a mechanism that is specially designed to remove solid, small or large particles from the interior of a liquid by using a wide filter that allows only the passage of the liquid, but stops solid particles which are unnecessary.

A normal filter removes impurities that the water does not need by using a small physical barrier that reduces the level of pollution. Filters are used at different levels and clean the water to be used at different levels, for example: agricultural water without pollution, industrial water used for cooling systems and drinking water for the public.

What is a water filter?

The water filter is a device that removes sediments and water pollutants in a way that makes the water look clearer, besides it makes the water taste and smell better. It makes the water healthier to drink and to use for other activities such as cooking and washing dishes.

In most cases, water filters use different mixtures of carbon to remove pollutants and prevent them from settling where you live, for example in your home at your kitchen sink or anywhere else you don't want the water you use to be contaminated.

Why is water filtering needed?

As we know, water filtration makes bacteria and other harmful agents found in water go away and thus we have clean water for drinking and other necessary life activities.Water filtration removes contaminants such as chlorine and heavy metals such as mercury and arsenic.

At the same time, water filtration prevents important minerals such as magnesium, calcium, and zinc from leaving the water. Water filtration also has health benefits, it makes you have a hydrated skin, absorbs the right nutrients, detoxifies the body and also removes the risk of cancer.

Drinking clean water helps the human immune system and the proper functioning of mental health. Another side that we benefit from filtering water is that the water has a better taste and smell, which makes us enjoy it more when we drink it.

Hard water and issues with it

White and solid deposits that hang in your faucet, as well as the inability of the soap to create foam properly, all these are signs that you are using hard water in your home.Hard water has large dissolved amounts of calcium and magnesium. The ions that are most often present in hard water are the metal ions of magnesium and calcium. But also iron, manganese and aluminum can be present depending on the area where you are.

All these metals are soluble in water, so these metals will dissolve in the water you use. Hard water is more present in places where limestone and gypsum are present.

Hard water makes equipment and pipes not work properly, it also leaves deposits of various minerals in glasses and other containers.

Elements found in hard water that make it dangerous

Hard water usually has a high content of magnesium and calcium, which make the water hard.

But in addition to these elements which are not so dangerous for human health, hard water can sometimes contain elements which are dangerous for drinking and human health. One of these elements is arsenic, which can potentially cause problems for human health. Also some other elements that can be called dangerous are: aluminum, barium, strontium, and zinc.
